About Me

Melinda Charlesworth is a leadership facilitator, professional speaker, former management consultant, and serial “I wonder if I could…” experimenter — which explains why she’s had roughly fifteen careers and somehow survived them all with her sense of humour intact.

From running a large contact centre to building businesses in retail and e-commerce, to coaching women rebuilding their confidence after tough relationships, Melinda’s work has always lived at the intersection of humans, pressure, and performance.

She’s also a single mum of three (so yes, she has a PhD in “staying calm while someone loses a school hat five minutes before you need to leave”).

With a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master of Science, training in psychology (ongoing), and a partner who keeps life grounded and laughing, she’s become known for making nervous system science feel simple, practical, and oddly comforting.

She teaches one core truth: calm isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you can learn.

(And yes… she wrote this for the high-functioning people who look “fine” while quietly white-knuckling their way through life.)
